Ralph Lauren Designs Wedding Dress For His Daughter
Weddings are suppose to be a once in a life time occasion. For many women, the tradition of weddings comes at a high price. Wedding dresses today cost thousands of dollars on average. This is not different for individuals who are well off like fashion designers themselves who have the chance to dive into their passion.
It's no surprise that iconic designer Ralph Lauren would want to design a special wedding dress for his daughter Dylan's wedding next month. The fashion superstar insisted on creating the perfect dress for his only daughter but has admitted that it was a tough job. During an interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show, he said that he felt the pressure to create something that was better then any of his previous work. He wanted to create something that she would really treasure and that would feel fantastic to wear as well.
His vision of what he wanted the dress to look like seemed clear, but when he put pen to paper and created some drawings his wife agreed that none of them were perfect. But his daughter loves the dress he eventually designed for her, saying that she doesn't want to take the dress off after the wedding.
